New The Man Who Killed Don Quixote trailer: Another look at Terry Gilliam's troubled film

A couple of weeks ago we published the first trailer for Terry Gilliam's The Man Who Killed Don Quixote which arrived out of the blue. You may also remember we mentioned there were some legal issues still attached to the film which could possibly further delay its release. Since then, Cannes announced it would be screening the film as the closing feature for the forthcoming festival.

However, Paulo Branco, the former producer currently trying to stop the film from being released, also threatened the festival with legal action. A decision by the court about this will be made on May 7th, which will decide whether it can be shown at the festival or not. A further decision about the dispute between Gilliam and Branco will be made on June 15th. If it is stopped it could be a while before the film sees the light of day, so in the meantime take advantage of a new trailer for The Man Who Killed Don Quixote which has just been released today.

The film tells the story of a deluded old man who is convinced he is Don Quixote, and who mistakes Toby, an advertising executive, for his trusty squire, Sancho Panza. The pair embark on a bizarre journey, jumping back and forth in time between the 21st and magical 17th century.

The Man Who Killed Don Quixote stars Adam Driver, Jonathan Pryce, Stellan Skarsgård and Olga Kurylenko and fingers crossed it will finally see the light of day at Cannes this year.
