211 trailer: Nicolas Cage is under heavy fire
Nic Cage's tax problems have been well documented but the actor has made it his mission to make as many films as humanly possible ever since. Including his next release, 211, by the end of this year he would've featured in 20 films since 2015. Those dinosaur skulls don't come cheap y'know. Many have been low budget straight to DVD/VOD flicks but one or two have gained wider recognition just to let us know he's still knocking around. Now we have the trailer for another genre piece, 211, which you can check out above.
Inspired by one of the longest and bloodiest real-life events in police history. Officer Mike Chandler (Nicolas Cage) and a young civilian passenger find themselves under-prepared and outgunned when fate puts them squarely in the crosshairs of a daring bank heist in progress by a fearless team of highly trained and heavily armed men.
York Shackleton directs, with the supporting cast featuring Sophie Skelton, Michael Rainey Jr., Dwayne Cameron and Weston Cage (yep, Nic's son).
211 gets a small cinematic release in the US, while also launching On Demand in June. Whether or not it makes it over to the UK in some form remains to be seen.
