Leave No Trace trailer: A first look at Winter’s Bone director Debra Granik's new film

Back in 2010 Debra Granik gave us Winter's Bone, a film which launched the career of Jennifer Lawrence. Her 2014 documentary Stray Dog was equally as lauded and the release of her first fictional film in 8 years, Leave No Trace, seemed to hit the spot at Sundance earlier in the year. A couple of weeks ago it was announced that the film will also be arriving at Sundance London 2018, giving fans of her work a chance to see it before the official release. Watch the first trailer for Leave No Trace above to get an early flavour of what's in-store.

Will (Ben Foster) and his teenage daughter, Tom (Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie), have lived off the grid for years in the forests of Portland, Oregon. When their idyllic life is shattered, both are put into social services. After clashing with their new surroundings, Will and Tom set off on a harrowing journey back to their wild homeland.

Debra Granik adapted the screenplay from Peter Rock's novel My Abandonment, with the cast also featuring Jeff Kober, Dale Dickey and Isaiah Stone.

Leave No Trace comes to UK cinemas on June 29th 2018.
