Life of the Party trailer: Melissa McCarthy is a mum living it up at college
Imagine your mum decides that the best way to get over being dumped by your dad is to enrol in the same college or university as you. Not only that, but once she gets there she turns into a party animal making the most of the attention from boys half her age and pretty much becoming a living nightmare. Well, that's the premise behind Melissa McCarthy's new flick Life of the Party which Warner Bros. have just released a trailer for. Check it out above to get a first glimpse.
When her husband suddenly dumps her, long time dedicated housewife Deanna (McCarthy) turns regret into re-set by going back to college…landing in the same class and school as her daughter, who’s not entirely sold on the idea. Plunging headlong into the campus experience, the increasingly outspoken Deanna—now Dee Rock—embraces freedom, fun and frat boys on her own terms, finding her true self in a senior year no one ever expected.
Ben Falcone (who is McCarthy's husband) also worked together on Tammy and The Boss previously. The film also stars Gillian Jacobs, Maya Rudolph, Julie Bowen, Matt Walsh, Molly Gordon, with Stephen Root and Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver, Jessie Ennis, Adria Arjona and Jimmy O. Yang.
Life of the Party gate crashes UK cinemas on May 11th 2018.
