The Secret of Marrowbone trailer: Dark family secrets evoke unspeakable horrors
The poster tells us this is from the writer of The Orphanage and the producers behind Pan's Labyrinth and A Monster Calls, which is not always a good thing to see on the promotion material. Didn't Tarantino present Eli Roth's Hostel? And that's just one of many examples. Maybe it's the way the trailer has been cut, but it looks like it relies heavily on jump scares which doesn't bode well at all. The reviews haven't exactly been red hot either. Anyway, have a look at the trailer for The Secret of Marrowbone above.
Four siblings seek refuge in an old home after the death of their mother, only to discover that the house has another, more sinister, inhabitant. Those four siblings are George Mackay, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton and Mia Goth. Sergio G. Sánchez is both writer and director, marking his feature length debut.
The Secret of Marrowbone comes to cinemas on July 13th 2018.
