Ideal Home trailer: Paul Rudd and Steve Coogan become unexpected parents
The pairing together of Paul Rudd and Steven Coogan seems like an odd choice and the trailer for Ideal Home does little to dispel that theory. Here they play a bickering, middle-aged gay couple who are suddenly forced to become parents. It's never usually a good sign when a joke fails to land in the trailer for a comedy but maybe the full length film has more up its sleeve. In the meanwhile, check out the trailer to see what you think.
Erasmus and Paul's life is turned inside out when a ten-year old boy shows up at their door claiming to be Erasmus’ grandson. Neither Paul, nor Erasmus, are ready to give up their extravagant lifestyles to be parents, but maybe this little kid has thing or two to teach them about the value of family.
Andrew Fleming (The Craft, Dick) is directing, with a supporting cast featuring Jake McDorman and Jack Gore.
Ideal Home opens in Australia in June, but no news on a UK release date just yet.
