This Week's UK Cinema Releases

Week Commencing October 16th 2017

This week sees the Vinaissance begin with the release of Brawl In Cell Block 99, a brutal but very enjoyable throwback genre piece. The Death of Stalin has a good laugh at the expense of political power thanks to Armando Iannucci and Buena Vista Social Club: Adios follows-up on the first 1999 Oscar nominated documentary in light of recent social changes within Cuba. Climate change catastrophe awaits in Geostorm while Happy Death Day looks set to be yet another huge success for Blumhouse. Smaller films worth looking out for this week include Zambian drama I Am Not A Witch and Sundance award winning documentary Dina. There's a 4k re-release of the masterful North By Northwest hitting screens around the country and how could we not mention the one we've all been waiting for? That's  right, My Little Pony (with a surprising number of star names attached) trots into view, so form an orderly queue around the block if you could please.
