Liam Neeson has the journey from hell in the trailer for The Commuter

The trailer for Liam Neeson's next film, The Commuter, has not long been released. By now, we should know just how unlucky Neeson really is. If his daughter is not being kidnapped (twice for heavens sake), his identity is being stolen, his airplane hijacked, or even crashing and ending up with a one-on-one death match with a killer wolf. The general rule seems to be, if you are anywhere near Liam Neeson, get the hell away as fast as you can.

In The Commuter, Neeson is insurance salesman, Michael Woolrich, who on his normal journey to work gets caught up in a hot mess that threatens his own life and that of everyone around him. What did we just say about getting the hell away from this man?? That aside, from what the trailer reveals,  there are definite shades of Duncan Jones' Source Code going on here.

Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Jonathan Banks, Sam Neill and Elizabeth McGovern also star and Jaume Collet-Serra (Unknown, Non-Stop, The Shallows) directs.

The Commuter will be released in UK cinemas on January 19th 2018.
