Watch out for that tree! More swinging fun for all the family as everyone’s favourite king of the jungle, George, returns along with all his animal friends. This time George’s son, George Jnr, is along for the ride and there’s twice the fun, twice the laughs and twice the action. Following the phenomenal success of George of the Jungle which took £7.6million at the Box Office and over 1 million units sold on video and DVD George of the Jungle II is out to own on DVD and video from 18 August.
Loveable but extremely clumsy George (Chris Showerman - Frakenbabe) is content to settle down with his beautiful wife Ursula (Julie Benz) and the cute but equally goofball George Jnr (Angus T. Jones – The Rookie). Unfortunately the family’s happiness is short-lived as Ursula’s scheming mother, Beatrice (Christina Pickles – Romeo and Juliet), arrives in the jungle insisting that her daughter returns to civilisation.
Meanwhile Geroge’s gorilla brother Ape (voiced by the ever-hilarious John Cleese) has taken up gambling in Las Vegas. When he runs up a large debt, Ape calls for George’s help and of course the family rush to the rescue. While in Vegas, the evil Lyle Van de Groot (Thomas Haden Church – Thombstone), working with Ursula’s mother, hypnotises Ursula and makes her forget who George is.
Back in the jungle, a lion uses the fact that the animals are jealous of the amount of time that George is spending with his family to persuade them that they should follow him instead. Can George and Ape rescue Ursula and make it back to the jungle to stop the lion from taking over George’s kingdom?
George is swinging back in to mischief and mishap with the sequel to the massively successful George of the Jungle. Premiering on DVD and video this summer, the hysterical comedy, George of the Jungle II, is a must own for fans of the original, lovers of Disney magic and anyone ready for some Jungle antics.
