Daniel Craig to return as James Bond
We already know that the next Bond film will be with us in 2019, with a reported director shortlist that includes Yann Demange, David Mackenzie, and Denis Villeneuve. But the last we heard from Daniel Craig about donning a tuxedo wasn’t exactly the most positive message, “I’d rather slash my wrists,” came the response.
Cue endless months of speculation about who could be taking over the role. More recently the whispers began to die down as it become clear that Craig would be returning once again. There had been no official confirmation until he appeared on Stephen Colbert last night, telling the world this…
So there you have it. He’ll be back and the world can breathe a sigh of a relief. Craig, of course, had known for some time and was somewhat more tactful when once again suggesting this could be his last outing. “I think this is it," he told Colbert. "I just want to go out on a high note and I can’t wait.”
No news yet on who the director will be and expect the release date to be somewhere towards the back end of 2019.
