Timon and Pumba find their voice for Jon Favreau's "The Lion King"
Everyone's favourite Warthog and Meerkat have found their voices for the live action/CGI adaptation of The Lion King being brought to life by Jon Favreau.
As reported earlier today by TheWrap, comedians Seth Rogen and Bill Eichner are in final talks to bring Pumba and Timon, respectively, to life as they join the huge vocal talent of Donald Glover and James Earl Jones (Simba and Mufasa).
Timon and Pumba are best known in the original film for their song "Hakuna Matata", a true Disney classic in the long history of celebrated songs, so it will be interesting to see if Rogen and Eichner will tackle such a huge challenge, just like Scarlett Johansson did as Kaa in The Jungle Book when she sang "Trust in Me".
The Lion King is directed by Jon Favreau and is currently in pre-production. It is set for a Summer 2018 release worldwide.
