DVD & Blu-ray Releases For Week Commencing 17th April 2017
Released this week will be Ezra Edelman's Oscar winning documentary O.J.:Made In America. Running at almost 8 hours it is a marathon well worth sitting through, remaining just as effective when viewed in 4 or 5 stages. Tom Hank's Sully, a solid film looking back at the 'Miracle on the Hudson,' gets a triple release to include 4k and The Birth of a Nation also receives the same treatment. The always excellent Brenda Blethyn appears on DVD with series 7 of Vera, standing out as the pick of the TV releases. Japanese director Kenji Mizoguchi's heartbreaking The Life of Oharu gets a Criterion release on Blu-ray and Elia Kazan's Panic in the Streets also hits Blu.
