Awards season has officially started as the 73rd annual Golden Globes awards ceremony took place on the 10th of January 2016 and were hosted by Ricky Gervais.

This year, The Revenant and The Martian dominated the awards with 3 and 2 awards each respectively including Best Drama, Best Actor (Drama) and Best Director.
