TDF Box Office Wars! [Nov. 20 - Nov. 22]

To get involved with you, our readers and to have a bit of fun with the UK Box Office figures, we here at The Digital Fix have introduced a new weekly feature to the site called "TDF Box Office Wars"

Each week a selection of the Film@TDF staff will predict the Top 5 Films at the UK Box Office for that weekend and will receive 1 point for each film in the correct position. The results will then be calculated and posted along with the Box Office report on the following Tuesday.

Feel free to play along by leaving a comment with what you believe will be the Top 5 this weekend or tweet us @FilmDigitalFix with the hashtag #TDFBOW

3rd Place: KIERON TOWNEND {1 point}
2nd Place: JAMES PERKINS {2 points}
1st Place: MARION KOOB {4 points}

Congratulations to last weeks winner Marion Koob who is now the highest scorer of the UK Box Office Wars results with 4 correctly predicted films (Spectre, The Lady in the Van, Hotel Translyvania 2 and Steve Jobs). James beat his previous week's score with two points (Spectre and Steve Jobs).

Week 1's champion Kieron dropped to Bronze position with just one point this week (Spectre).

Will Marion manage to defend her crown this week? Or maybe Kieron will reclaim the TDF throne? Or will James finally win for the first time? Find out all the predictions for this weeks Top 5 below:

This weeks new releases in UK Cinemas:

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2
The Dressmaker

This weeks competitors and their predictions are:

[Film News Editor]

1) The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2
2) Spectre
3) The Lady in the Van
4) The Dressmaker
5) Hotel Transylvania 2

James wrote:

"This week I believe that Katniss will come out of the shadows and pip Mr Bond to first place with THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART 2 bringing in a massive audience of teens and adults alike and will knock SPECTRE from top spot. Alan Bennet's THE LADY IN THE VAN will continue to bring it a wide variety of audience due to stellar reviews from critics and fans of the legendary Maggie Smith. New release THE DRESSMAKER will offer an alternative to people who wish not to witness the conclusion to The Hunger Games series. As for HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 2, this will be the last week in the Top 5 (most likely due to the fact that next week it might be removed from wide release)."

[Cinema Editor]

1) The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2
2) Spectre
3) The Lady in the Van
4) Hotel Transylvania 2
5) The Dressmaker

Marion wrote:

"The long-anticipated THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART 2 will take over the lead from SPECTRE; but I'm still expecting the latter to continue to do well. THE LADY IN THE VAN had a strong first week, and should hold just above the ever-resilient HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 2. THE DRESSMAKER is more of a niche offering, and Liam Hemsworth fans will be distracted by the Mockingjay release.

We all missed out PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO last week, which came out fourth - clearly we need to up our Bollywood game!"

[Staff Writer]

1) The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2
2) Spectre
3) Hotel Transylvania 2
4) Brooklyn
5) Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse

Kieron wrote:

"THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART 2 will dominate this weeks box office and will no doubt take a few records with it. SPECTRE will drop down to second in the wake of Jennifer Lawrence's dominance. HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 2 will do steady business and maintain its spot in the top five. BROOKLYN will just about keep afloat, while SCOUTS GUIDE TO THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE will have something of a resurgence and re-enter the chart in fifth place."
