As predicted SPECTRE continues to dominate the Box Office in 1st place for the second week running. Although the film took a hefty 69% drop from it's opening week, it still took over a whopping £13million in Week 2.
HOTEL TRANSLYVANIA 2 just managed to hold on to 2nd place in it's fourth week with a 55% drop and also beat new release BROOKLYN, which debuted in 3rd, by just £65,000
In its fourth week, PAN lost its ability to fly and dropped from 3rd to 4th with a 34% drop in takings.
Elsewhere, another new release BURNT (starring Bradley Cooper) managed to serve its way into the Top 5 in 5th place even with takings of under half a million pounds.
The other new releases (SCOUTS GUIDE TO THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE, KILL YOUR FRIENDS, HE NAMED ME MALALA) all had disappointing opening weekends with SCOUTS GUIDE only achieving 8th place with takings of just under £300,000; KILL YOUR FRIENDS making only £102,000 and HE NAMED ME MALALA with just £101,000.
Dropping out of the Top 5 this week was SUFFRAGETTE which dropped from 5th to 7th with 32% decrease in takings and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE GHOST DIMENSION dropping from 4th to 9th with a 59% decrease.
Once again, SPECTRE will more than likely continue to hold 1st place but with THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART 2 on the horizon, Bond may have to watch his back.
