An emotional trailer for Russell Crowe's next release: Fathers and Daughters

Take a look at this new trailer for Fathers and Daughters, coming to cinemas November 16th.

In the film, Russell Crowe stars as Jake Davis, a Pulitzer-winning novelist and widower, who struggles with mental illness as he tries to raise his 5-year old daughter, Katie. The film overlaps his story with that of 30-year-old Katie, played by Amanda Seyfried in present-day Manhattan, as she battles the demons of her troubled childhood.

Fathers and Daughters is directed by Gabriele Muccino, who was also the director on The Pursuit of Happyness. Does this emotional trailer promise a similarly heart-wrenching ride?

Crowe certainly thinks so - about the script, he said:"I just fell apart reading [it]. It’ s so emotional. It hits you on a very deep level. I don’ t do a movie unless I’ m physically affected by the script, and this was just undeniable."
