James Horner dies age 61
James Horner, composer of some of cinema's best loved soundtracks has died aged 61. He was piloting a light aircraft that hit difficulties north of Santa Barbara and crashed.
Horner's contribution to cinema music has been immense and his work is instantly recognisable in the way all good soundtracks should be. From Braveheart to Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan his work has always been the highlight of any production.
