Smit-McPhee joins the enviable cast that includes James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult. Rose Byrne will also be making a second X appearance as Moira McTaggart; she previously featured in Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class. X-Men: Apocalypse is being written by Simon Kinberg from a treatment by himself along with Mike Dougherty and Dan Harris.
