Adam Wingard Set To Remake I Saw The Devil
Director Adam Wingard and screenwriter Simon Barrett are finalising a deal to film a remake of 2010 Korean thriller I Saw The Devil. The remake will be produced by Snoot Entertainment who also produced Wingard's previous efforts You're Next and The Guest.
The original film was directed by Kim Jee-woon and saw a secret agent seek revenge on the man who killed his pregnant wife, and as the film progresses the lines between good and evil become increasingly blurred.
Wingard and Barrett have apparently been seeking this film out for a while now. With Barrett working on scripting duties, Wingard will likely soon begin the casting process. If the pair can recreate the same level of tension and action they have done with their previous efforts, then I Saw The Devil may well be one of the better Western remakes.
