A raft of reboots were announced this week. Among the news of the Power Rangers and The Flintstones comes news of a Lethal Weapon reboot. The film is apparently chasing Chris Hemsworth to star as the son of Mel Gibson's Martin Riggs as he decides to join the police force. Justin Lin is also attached to direct, while Joel Silver will return in his usual producing capacity. The Tracking Board

After Andrew Garfield suggested that any future instalments of The Amazing Spider-Man franchise could see a change of character in the red & blue spandex, producers Avi Arad & Matt Tolmach have moved swiftly to denounce such a suggestion. Garfield can obviously not play the character forever & insisted they avoid recasting Peter Parker again & instead use a new character, such as Mile Morales from Marvel's Ultimate comic book line.

Speaking to The Playlist, Arad gave the following quote; "No. The one thing you cannot do, when you have a phenomena that has stood the test of time, you have to be true to the real character inside, who is Peter Parker? What are the biggest effects on his life? Then you can draw in time, and you can consider today's world in many ways. But to have multiple ones... I don't know if you remember, but Marvel tried it. And it was almost the end of Spider-Man." If they choose to recast Parker, then that is all well and good, but I really hope they don't decide to reboot the whole thing in six years time. The Fantastic Four reboot over at Fox is due to add another actor to its cast in the shape of Tim Blake Nelson. If Nelson signs on the dotted line he will play the character of Harvey Elder. Elder is a scientist who later goes on to become the Mole Man, who leads an underground group of creatures known as Moloids. The Mole Man will likely feature as the villain in any future sequels to the Fantastic Four, as Tony Kebbell's Dr. Doom will be the big bad in the first instalment of the new franchise. Heat Vision

Hugh Jackman has given the biggest hint yet that the next time he plays Wolverine on the big screen could well be his last. Whilst out doing press for the upcoming X-Men: Days Of Future Past, Jackman told SFX ; "I don't know yet. We're talking it through. I still am very ambitious for the character. And tonally I feel like we corrected the ship with the last one. But I feel we can still go further, in a way. If I did another one I'm 99.9% sure it would be the last, so that will inform what it is for me."

Jackman also goes on to say that he and director James Mangold have spoken about the possibility of adapting the Old Man Logan comic book storyline. It is also worth noting that Marvel are releasing an event series this summer titled The Death Of Wolverine. Could this be a potential third film, and more importantly would Fox really be willing to kill off one of their most profitable characters? SFX

Bodybuilder Aaron Williamson has been cast in Terminator: Genesis as a T-800 model Terminator. Williamson made the announcement via his Facebook page, but the post has since been deleted. Whether Williamson will play a younger version of Arnold Schwarzenegger's T-800 or whether he will play a completely different version remains to be seen. Screen Rant
