Cumberbatch says 'No' to Star Wars VII

Sherlock and 12 Years a Slave actor Benedict Cumberbatch has ruled himself out of the forthcoming Star Wars film.

Cumberbatch broke the news at Oz Comic-Con, where he revealed that even though he would have liked a part, he says "it won't happen, sadly."

The casting of the much-anticipated sequel is mostly under wraps, with the exception of series veteran Peter Mayhew, who played Chewbacca in the original trilogy as well as Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

It is recently rumoured by Hollywood Reporter that the film's producers are looking to rebuild Luke Skywalker's home planet of Tatooine in Abu-Dhabi.
