'Assassin's Creed' film brings on two new writers

The upcoming film adaptation of computer game Assassin's Creed have brought in Adam Cooper and Bill Collage to work on script rewrites.

The duo, who have just finished working on the script for the forthcoming Ridley Scott epic Exodus: Gods and Kings, will be taking over the screenwriting duties from Michael Leslie, whose previous works include several short films and the play Prince of Denmark, prequel to Hamlet.

It is unclear whether they will create a new script or rewrite Leslie's screenplay, but their hiring is a step forward forwards its scheduled 2015 release. 12 Years a Slave actor Michael Fassbender will star and produce the film, but a director is yet to be hired.
