The Timecop reboot is going ahead at Universal with Journey 2: The Mysterious Island writers Mark and Brian Gunn now on scriptwriting duties. The new film will apparently reboot the idea of a special type of Police force who regulate time travel in the future. Despite the high concept science fiction, Universal are apparently aiming for a more grounded Police procedural this time. No word yet on if Jean Claude Van Damme will return to the series. Paramount have officially announced they are delve deeper into their back catalogue of films and turn them into TV shows after announcing they are to turn The Truman Show into a series. The film famously depicted Jim Carrey's Truman finding out that his whole world was a lie, and had been conceived for a reality TV show. Whether the idea can be as successful on the small screen remains to be seen. The Wrap

Holly Hunter has joined the cast of DC’s Batman Vs Superman. Her role is unspecified so far, but is said to have been created solely for the film. Joining Hunter on the superhero epic will be Callan Mulvey and Tao Okamoto, again in roles created solely for the film. They will join Amy Adams, Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot & Laurence Fishburne in the 2016 follow up to Man Of Steel. Deadline

Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa is set for a sequel, with a new TV special also in the works. Producer Henry Normal confirmed the news at Advertising Week Europe saying; “We are planning a sequel, yes, that will be great. We are also looking at doing more Mid Morning Matters and another Sky special, a little bit like Coast with Alan Partridge, except I don't think he goes out of Norfolk.” Writing has apparently already begun on the sequel to last years comedy, and will likely start shooting this September. We got our first look at the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles last week and now it has been revealed who will be voicing some of our heroes in the new movie. Having already heard from Raphael and Michelangelo briefly in the trailer, we now know that Johnny Knoxville will voice Leonardo and Tony Shalhoub will voice the Turtles mentor Splinter. Even though various actors did the motion capture work, the studio have apparently always been up for having different actors voice the cast. Deadline

Never one to do things on the fly, Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige has revealed that the studio has films planned for possible release up until the year 2028. Feige told Bloomberg there is a map in his office which features the plan for the entire Marvel universe. Feige also adds that if this years Guardians Of The Galaxy is successful (like it won’t be!) that each of the Guardians may all get their own spin off film. Bloomberg

Ivan reitman has revealed his reasons for stepping away from directing Ghostbusters 3 for Sony. A number of things seemed to make his mind up for him, mostly the sad loss of star Harold Ramis. In a recent interview with SpinOff online, Reitman also mentioned that his age, as well as Bill Murray’s reluctance to return to the franchise also had an influence on his decision to step back into a producer's role.
