New Transformers: Age Of Extinction Trailer Debuts Online
It's been a while since we last saw anything to do with the latest film in the Transformers series, currently titled Transformers: Age Of Extinction. Back at the start of February to be exact, when a 30 second teaser was shown during the Super Bowl. Now though, we have a full length, 2 minutes 32 seconds, trailer to whet the appetite.
The film is branded as something of a reboot by director Michael Bay, but one that also promises to acknowledge the events of the first three films. The IMDb has the following synopsis for us: " A mechanic and his daughter make a discovery that brings down Autobots and Decepticons - and a paranoid government official - on them."
While story wise, the film seems to be very similar to the last two films in that humans feel they don't want the Transformers hanging around anymore, until a threat big enough arises that they all soon change their minds.
The trailer works though, by showing us some great money shots and looks like the film will pay an homage or two to the original cartoon. We get an ominous sounding voice over from Kelsey Grammer's villain Harold Attinger as he tells us "the age of the Transformers is over." While Stanley Tucci remarks that "we don't need you anymore", which I presume is aimed at one or more of the Autobots. Finally, we get a great shot of Optimus Prime taking on a robotic dinosaur known as Grimlock. Yes, transforming dinosaurs, what more could you ever ask for?
Transformers: Age Of Extinction will be released in the UK on July 10th and stars Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor.
