Olympus Has Fallen ad fined $1.9m

The makers behind the TV trailer for action film Olympus Has Fallen are being fined $1.9m for misusing a warning siren that is officially used by US Government.

The TV spot for the film, starring Gerard Butler and Aaron Eckhart, was shown across US television networks a total of 108 times and reportedly caused confusion and complaints from viewers. The Federal Complaints Commission said that the parties sued have 30 days to contest, or pay up the fine.
