Wolf of Wall Street causes arrests in Kenya

Pirate DVD traders in Kenya have been arrested for selling the banned Scorsese film, Wolf of Wall Street.

The Academy-Award nominee has been banned by the Kenya Film Classification Board, due to its "extreme scenes of nudity, sex, debauchery, hedonism and cursing" but pirate copies of the film have meant many Kenyans have already watched it, at a mere price of $0.57 (35p).

"We are doing this for the sake of our children and our women", says Eva Mbuni, corporate communications officer at the Kenya Film Classification Board.

"The movie could have been allowed if the distributors had edited out some of the parts we are uncomfortable with...but they refused our advisory to them and we had no choice."
