LeBeouf causes stir at Berlin Film Festival
US actor Shia LeBeouf isn't really helping himself at the moment. Not only has he been caught up in plagiarism accusations, violent altercations and problems with the law, he caused a stir at the Berlin Film Festival after walking out a press conference for his latest film, Nymphomaniac.
LeBeouf left the press conference after only ten minutes into the session, only to reappear on the red carpet with a paper bag on his head with I am not famous any more written on it.
Before his prompt departure, he quoted a line made famous by former Manchester United footballer Eric Cantona: "When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea." Cantona quoted this line after infamously kicking a fan during a game in 1995.
Even though he was not present at the press conference, Nymphomaniac director Lars Von Trier made an appearance at a photocell, referring to his expulsion from Cannes Film Festival after he suggested he 'sympathised' with Adolf Hitler.
The UK release of Nymphomaniac is scheduled for 22nd February 2014.
