The Grand Budapest Hotel opens its doors at Glasgow Film Festival 2014
The Grand Budapest Hotel, the newest film from Moonrise Kingdom director Wes Anderson, will finally premier at the opening gala of this year's Glasgow Film Festival.
The comedy, starring an ensemble cast including Ralph Fiennes, Saoirse Ronan and Tilda Swinton, follows an eccentric hotelier embroiled in the death of one of his guests. The film is a poignant addition to the festival's programme as Anderson's comedy The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou closed the first Glasgow Film Festival ten years ago.
The festival, running between 20th February to 2nd March, will close with sci-fi thriller Under the Skin, an adaptation based on Michel Faber's 2000 novel, starring Scarlett Johansson.
