The Horrorthon juggernaut continues to trundle on here at The Digital Fix and this time we're looking at the mighty reign of Val Lewton over at RKO pictures in the 1940s. Famous for his fondness of keeping the creature to the shadows and letting the audience's imagination do the damage, Lewton was an exemplary Producer and Scriptwriter who used the trappings of the horror genre to weave complex psychological dramas. Along the way he also spring boarded the careers of such luminary filmmakers as Jacques Tourneur & Robert Wise, so we'll be touching upon all of this in our FilmCast!

Here's a selection of trailers for just a handful of the titles we discuss:

Cat People

I Walked with a Zombie

The Leopard Man

The Seventh Victim

The Body Snatcher

Isle of the Dead

Please get in touch with us in the comments section if you feel like chiming in on the subject at hand, and if you subscribe to these sorts of things you can follow the FilmCast on our rss page, not to mention on iTunes and stitcher. We've also got that Halloweeen playlist for you to peruse on Spotify!
