Lebanon (US) in January

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have announced the US DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of Lebanon on 18th January 2011. In 1982, during the First Lebanon War, a tank manned by a novice crew of Israeli soldiers is led into a town previously bombed by the air force. Young men who have never fought before are now placed inside of a killing machine and thrown into a situation that quickly spins out of control, testing the mental toughness of the men inside of a confined space, with only the lens of a periscopic gun sight to see the madness outside. Lebanon is based on writer-director Samuel Maoz’s personal experiences in the Israeli army.

Available on DVD ($28.95 SRP) and Blu-ray ($38.96 SRP), features include:

  • DVD: Hebrew DD5.1; English subtitles
  • BD: Hebrew 5.1 DTS-HD MA; English & English SDH subtitles
  • Commentary with Director Samuel Maoz
  • Notes on a War Film – The Making of Lebanon

The Blu-ray is coded for Region A only.
