The Fosters – Series 1 - The first sitcom written both for and starring black actors. Showcased the early work of Lenny Henry (riding high on a recent win in talent series New Faces) as the budding artist son of the easygoing family-man Samuel Foster (Norman Beaton, who would go on to gain major fame in 90s comedy Desmond’s).

The Mind of JG Reeder – Complete Series - This classic Thames drama series is based on the short stories by Edgar Wallace. Featuring one of the unlikeliest of fictional sleuths: a mild-mannered, bespectacled civil servant at the Department of Public Prosecutions. Starring Hugh Burden and Willoughby Goddard.

Mystery and Imagination – Complete Series - A distinguished cast in this collection of Gothic tales includes Ian Holm (Chariots of Fire), Denholm Elliot (Indiana Jones), Patrick Mower (Callan) and Freddie Jones (The Elephant Man), who gives an astonishing performance as the demented barber, Sweeney Todd. Clayhanger – Complete Series - A major series starring, amongst others, Janet Suzman, Peter McEnery, Harry Andrews, Denholm Elliott, Clive Swift and Denis Quilley. This drama adapted the celebrated Clayhanger Family novels by Arnold Bennett, published between 1910 and 1918.

The Corridor People (web exclusive) - A surreal crime/fantasy adventure series in the mould of the The Avengers, The Corridor People ran for only four episodes yet has garnered considerable cult devotion. Written by Edward Boyd (The Odd Man), the series stars larger-than-life character actor John Sharp and Elizabeth Shepherd, the actress originally cast as Emma Peel; guest stars include Windsor Davies and Pauline Collins.
