Second Sight in September

Second Sight have announced four UK DVD firsts for September 2009…

Arriving on 7th September are:

Butterfly Kiss - Michael Winterbottom's dark and unnerving debut feature film arrives on UK DVD for the first time in a newly remastered version. The disc is coded for Region 2 and the film is presented in anamorphic widescreen with English DD2.0 audio. There are no extras.

Time Regained - Chilean director Raul Ruiz’s Time Regained explicitly tackles the last volume of Marcel Proust’s monumental novel Remembrance of Things Past. Newly remastered, the disc is coded for Region 0 and the film is presented in anamorphic widescreen with French DD2.0 audio and optional English subtitles. There are no extras on this release.

Arriving on 14th September are:

La Belle Captive - Controversial French filmmaker Alain Robbe-Grillet's erotic, surreal cult classic comes to UK DVD for the first time newly remastered from the original 35mm negative. This release also includes audio commentary by Roch C. Smith and Anthony N. Fragola (Smith is the author of ‘Understanding Alain Robbe-Grillet’. He and Fragola co-authored ‘The Erotic Dream Machine: Interview with Alain Robbe-Grillet on his Films’.)

Beyond the Clouds - Near the end of his professional career, Michelangelo Antonioni directed this erotic drama based on his own short stories, four tales of love and desire are linked by a director in search of his next picture. Included on this release is ‘To Make A Film Is To Be Alive’ a 52 minute documentary and an audio essay by Seymour Chatman (author of Antonioni: The Complete Films), with production stills gallery.

RRP is £19.99 each with the exception of Butterfly Kiss which is £15.99.
