The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (R1) in December

Universal Studios Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor on 16th December 2008. Rob Cohen directs the latest in The Mummy franchise that stars Brendan Fraser, Jet Li, Michelle Yeoh, Maria Bello and John Hannah.

Available in single-disc ($29.98 SRP) and two-disc Deluxe Edition ($34.98 SRP) versions, features are detailed below:

Single-Disc Editions: - Separate Widescreen and Full Screen versions with the following features:

  • English, French and Spanish DD5.1 Surround
  • English DVS 2.0 (Audio Description)
  • English SDH, French and Spanish subtitles
  • Deleted and Extended Scenes
  • Feature Commentary with Director Rob Cohen

Two-Disc Deluxe Edition: - Widescreen single-disc plus a bonus disc with the following additional extras:
  • Preparing for Battle with Brendan Fraser and Jet Li - Watch as the cast prepare for and shoot their respective fight scenes in the film
  • The Making of The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor - Director Rob Cohen and producers Bob Ducsay, Sean Daniel and James Jacks lead us through the making of the film, from scouting in China through the film’s completion.
  • Jet Li: Crafting The Emperor Mummy - Special effects artists at Rhythm & Hues Studios and Digital Domain discuss making Jet Li a digital warrior.

For a limited time only the Deluxe Edition will include a digital copy of the film.

Also released is The Mummy Trilogy six-disc collection priced at $59.98 SRP.
