Doctor Who: The Trial of a Time Lord in August
Although unofficially it's been common knowledge for some time, the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine has the first confirmation from 2Entertain that the next Classic Who title following July's The Brain of Morbius will the Colin Baker 14-part epic The Trial of a Time Lord, to be released on 16th August. The story, comprising the whole of Season Twenty-Three, was the story which saw the series return after its infamous eighteen month hiatus and sees the Doctor put on trial on Gallifrey having to defend his past actions. Other than the promise that the discs will include the definitive documentary on the Sixth Doctor's era, there's no word on what extras the set will contain (although the BBFC have listed several likely-sounding titles over the past few weeks).
In addition, the magazine heavily suggests that the release schedule for the rest of the year will be as follows:
Four to Doomsday (Peter Davison) - September
The War Machines (William Hartnell) - October
Battlefield (Sylvester McCoy) - November
and that the last story of Patrick Troughton's era, The War Games, will be following soon after.
