A war film unlike any other. Through its stylistic virtuosity, Jancsó invites us to study the mechanisms of power almost abstractly, with a cold eroticism that clearly portrays the utter futility of war

“A blackly humorous look at the post-1989 culture of violence, the film is an attack on the complacency of present-day society... a portrait of the real world as it exists today” – Andrew James Horton, Kinoeye
