Looney Tunes Collections come to DVD

Warner Home Video have announced several Region 1 Looney Tunes DVD collections for release on 28th October 2003. Here is a full rundown of what you can expect to find in each set...

The Looney Tunes Golden Collection - This four-disc set is for the 'ultimate collector' and features 56 of the very best animated shorts, each specially selected and brilliantly restored and re-mastered to its original, uncut state. Special features include:

  • Introductions by animation experts and actors
  • Commentaries by film historians, Michael Barrier and Jerry Beck, filmmaker Greg Ford and actor, Stan Freberg
  • Music only programs
  • Behind the Tunes – Featurettes paying tribute to the characters and the creators

The Looney Tunes Premiere Collection - This two-disc set is for the more nostalgic, light collector as it contains the 28 animated shorts plus the wealth of bonus features as found on Discs 3 & 4 of the Golden Collection for the low retail price of $26.99.
