Fox 'Studio Stars' and Hemingway Box Set this Autumn
Fox (UK) have announced a new range of 'Studio Stars' DVD box-sets celebrating the films of some of cinema's most unforgettable stars. To launch the range, three new premium multi-disc DVD box-sets will be released this Autumn - each focusing on a star from the golden age of cinema: Gregory Peck, Gene Tierney and Tyrone Powers.

Gregory Peck - £34.99 RRP - As one of the silver screen's most popular leading men, Gregory Peck became known for playing tall, rugged characters with a basic decency that transcended his roles.
New to UK DVD is The Man in the Grey Flannel Suit (1956). The set also includes Twelve O'Clock High (1949), Gentlemen's Agreement (1947), The Bravados (1958) and The Gunfighter (1950).
Gene Tierney - £34.99 RRP - Gene Tierney was regarded by 20th Century Fox studio boss Daryl F. Zanuck as, “unquestionably the most beautiful woman in movie history”. Her striking beauty and undoubted acting ability cemented her status as one of biggest Hollywood stars of the 1940's and 50's.
New to UK DVD are Thunder Birds (1942) and Tobacco Road (1941). The set also includes Laura (1944), Leave Her To Heaven (1945) and The Ghost and Mrs Muir (1947).

Tyrone Power - £44.99 RRP HMV EXCLUSIVE - As one of the great swashbuckling heroes of the mid 20th Century, Tyrone Power became one of Fox's biggest stars who could play in contemporary and period pieces with ease. He is famous for playing colourful roles and even served in the Marine Corps in WWII as a pilot where he saw action on the South Pacific.
New to UK DVD are Prince of Foxes (1949), Son of Fury (1942), Captain from Castile (1947) and The Black Rose (1950). The set also includes Crash Dive (1943), Second Fiddle (1939) and The Mark of Zorro (1940).
Also released on 17th September by Fox is The Ernest Hemingway Film Collection (£29.99 RRP) which brings together the best screen adaptations from Hemingway novels and includes The Snows of Kilimanjaro (1952), a New to UK DVD title which also stars Gregory Peck. Other New to UK DVD titles on the set are: Under My Skin (1950) and Hemingway’s Adventures of a Young Man (1962). Rounding out the set is A Farewell to Arms (1957) starring Rock Hudson.
