Babylon 5: The Lost Tales (R2) in September

Warner Home Video have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of Babylon 5: The Lost Tales on 3rd September 2007. This sci-fi fan favourite returns with the first in a series of made-for-DVD movies written and directed by show creator J. Michael Straczynski. The Lost Tales offers a spectacular vision of Babylon 5 and New York City in the 23rd century and brings back popular original cast members including Bruce Boxleitner (President John Sheridan), Tracy Scoggins (Captain Elizabeth Lochley) and Peter Woodward (Galen).

Synopsis: Times change. Dangers remain. On an immense space station built by the Earth Alliance, the crew of Babylon 5 is charged with maintaining the peace among the various alien races by providing a sanctuary where grievances and negotiations can be worked out among duly appointed ambassadors. Babylon 5: The Lost Tales picks up the dramatic series in 2271A.D, ten years after John Sheridan is appointed President of the Interstellar Alliance.

Sheridan prepares for a fateful Babylon 5 reunion that could prevent Earth's impending doom...if he will also compromise his core principles. Meanwhile, commander Lochley confronts an unexpected interloper - a being whose presence makes the Babylon 5 freeport the crossroads between heaven and hell. In Voices In The Dark, series creator J. Michael Straczynski reunites with stars Bruce Boxleitner and Tracy Scoggins in two richly imagined stories set after the events of the original series.

Extras: Writer, director and show creator J. Michael Straczynski demonstrates his enthusiasm for all things Babylon 5 and his commitment to fans of the series through the amazing range of never-before-seen extras included on this release. These include touching memorials to former cast members who have passed away; a series of featurettes titled The Straczynski Diaries exploring the technical side of creating the show; a series of 1-to-1 interviews with the show’s stars; and J. Michael Straczynski answering questions submitted by Babylon 5 fans.
