Cars (US BD) in November - Full Specs

Buena Vista Home Entertainment have announced the US Blu-ray Disc release of Cars on 6th November 2007 priced at $34.99 SRP. Pixar's 2006 animated blockbuster imagines a world inhabited only by sentient cars. Owen Wilson provides the voice of the film's hero, an arrogant racing car who takes a wrong turn and ends up in a small town filled with old rust-buckets. The cast also includes Paul Newman, Bonnie Hunt, Cheech Marin and Michael Keaton.

Featuring a transfer taken from the original digital source files and presented in 1080P with 24-bit uncompressed 5.1 PCM audio, the 50GB disc also boasts all-new bonus features that utilise BD-J technology. When users arrive at the title menu they have the option of touring “Radiator Springs” or “Emeryville.” Radiator Springs allows users to go deeper into the world of Cars through the interactive “Car Finder Game,” while Emeryville gives users the opportunity to pull back the curtains at Pixar for an exhaustive look at their unique creative process in “Cine-Explore.”
