The Hills Have Eyes 2 (R1) in July
Fox Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of The Hills Have Eyes 2 on 17th July 2007. Martin Weisz directs this sequel to last year’s remake of the cult-classic of the same name and was co-written by Wes Craven and son Jonathan Craven. Picking up two years after the ill-fated Carter family was attacked in the New Mexico desert, The Hills Have Eyes 2 follows a group of National Guard soldiers who find themselves under attack by a deranged group of cannibalistic mutants.
Available in separate Rated and Unrated editions (both 89mins and $29.98 SRP) the former is almost barebones, presenting the film in both Widescreen and Full Screen on a flipper disc with English DD5.1 Surround, French and Spanish Dolby Surround plus English and Spanish subtitles. The only extras are a making-of featurette and trailers.
The Unrated edition offers much more, and is presented in widescreen with the same audio options as the theatrical offering. Extras include:
