Revolver Entertainment have announced the UK DVD release of The Harder They Come on 21st May 2007 priced at £19.99. Jimmy Cliff stars in his first screen role as a young and hopeful singer who leaves his rural village for the capital city of Kingston, Jamaica with hopes of cutting a record. But all he encounters is corruption and menace

From Jamaican director Perry Henzell, The Harder They Come features one of the most popular and contagious soundtracks of all time, and spread its reggae vibe across the globe upon its release in 1972, gaining cult status and making a legend of its star Jimmy Cliff. Tracks like You Can Get it if you Really Want, Rivers of Babylon, Many Rivers to Cross and title track The Harder they Come opened international audiences’ ears to the ska sound, and paved the way for the arrival of Jamaican artists like Bob Marley on the international stage.

The 35th Anniversary DVD release comes bundled with the CD Soundtracks, and offers the following features:
