The Best of The New Scooby-Doo Movies Vol.1 (R2) in April

Warner Home Video have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of The Best of The New Scooby-Doo Movies Volume 1 for 2nd April 2007 priced at £12.99. The New Scooby-Doo Movies followed the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? TV Series. As Mystery Inc. mania took the world by storm, legends Hanna-Barbera decided to quench fans’ thirsts by complementing the television series with feature length animated treats that had more sophisticated plots and characters.

The first four episodes follow the cowardly canine and his bunch of trusty friends as they solve crimes, get into trouble and perfectly fulfill the role of the “meddling kids” for which they’re so well renowned.

Episode details…

Ghastly Ghoul Town
Guest Stars: The Three Stooges
After a king-sized bat forces the Mystery Machine into a sandpit, Scooby and the kids cross the desert on foot to seek help. They meet The Three Stooges who not only help them solve the giant bat mystery but are actually the ones in need of help!

The Dynamic Scooby-Doo Affair
Guest Stars: Batman and Robin
Scooby and the gang join forces with Batman and Robin for a cliff hanging tale about a counterfeiting ring operated by those arch-criminals, Joker and Penguin.

The Frickert Fracas
Guest Stars: Jonathan Winters
When Jonathan Winters invites Scooby and the kids to stay at the farm of his friend, Maude Frickert, they mistakenly believe it will be a vacation from haunted houses and spooky characters. They soon learn differently when vandalizing scoundrels and truly scary scarecrows overrun Maude’s farm.

Guest Who’s Not Coming To Dinner
Guest Stars: Don Knotts
When hopelessly lost Scooby and the gang enter Moody Manor to ask for directions, Don Knotts, the world’s greatest detective, mistakenly believes that they are the relatives of the estate’s wealthy late owners. Don suspects that one of them murdered Captain Moody!
