Eric Khoo’s Be With Me in March

Peccadillo Pictures have announced a March 7th release for the award winning film Be With Me from world renowned Singapore director Eric Khoo. The characters in the film are all fictitious except for Theresa Chan. Deaf and blind since she was 14, therese – who is now 61 – is a remarkable woman who has triumphed over her disabilities to live and amazing life. She is the film’s beacon, a symbol of strength and hope.

Be With Me is a tapestry of three stories woven around the themes of love, hope and destiny. Although the main characters come from different background and lead separate lives, these lost souls all long to be with their loved ones.

Meant To Be is about an aging shopkeeper grappling with loneliness. Just when he is about to give up hope, he chances upon a book which changes his life.

Finding Love follows the mundane life of a middle aged security guard with two great passions in life – food and a high-flying professional girl who works in the same building as him. The first he indulges in with gusto, the second alas, he can only admire from afar, so he decides to bridge the divide with a letter.

So In Love is the bittersweet chronicle of a teenage love less ordinary. A flurry of text messages sparks off a dramatic and unexpected chain of events.

Be With Me, certificate 12A, is released on DVD by Peccadillo Pictures on 7th March with an RRP of £19.99. Extras include: Audio Description for the visually impaired; Director’s Commentary; Interview with Eric Khoo; Rehearsal Footage; and Making Of.
