The Descent (BD) in December

Lions Gate Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of The Descent for 26th December 2006 priced at $39.99 SRP. Directed by Neil Marshall, winner of the British Independent Film Award for Best Director, The Descent is an intense psychological thriller that is coming to Blu-ray Disc day-and-date with the R1 DVD release.

With groundbreaking Blu-ray features such as THE GATE: The Descent Underground Experience, special features presented in high-definition, along with 6.1 PCM audio (uncompressed), Blu-ray java interactive menus, The Descent dual-layer (BD) 50GB sets the bar for maximizing the capabilities of the Blu-ray format. With Blu-ray, it is also possible to view both the high-definition original unrated cut of the film as well as the theatrical version that was released in the United States.
