Babylon 5 Season 3 Boxset plagued by loose scratched discs
It looks like Warner Home Video are heading for another major problem with Region 2 Babylon 5 boxsets.
The latest season 3 box set (Point Of No Return) is plagued with loose and scratched discs, and the problem has even caused supplier DVD.co.uk to cancel all orders for the set and remove it from sale.
The issue doesn't seem to be limited to mail-order copies, with reports that some sets bought from high-street retailers suffer from the same fault.
Loose discs have been known in the series 1 and 2 boxsets, but the problem seems much more prevalent this time around.
This is the latest in a series of faults with R2 Babylon 5 boxsets. The first set suffered from a mastering fault on one of the discs, which was the re-mastered only after a campaign by members of The DVD Forums.
The second set has been criticised for poor cropping and framing of some scenes, resulting in important parts of the image being cropped out.
If you're planning to buy the Babylon 5 season 3 boxset from a high-street retailer, it's recommended that you check the discs for scratches before you leave the shop.
