The Tarzan Collection (R2) in October

Warner Home Video have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of The Tarzan Collection, exclusive to HMV priced at £34.99 RRP from 31st October 2005. Johnny Weissmuller and Maureen O'Sullivan star as Edgar Rice Burroughs' seminal jungle hero and heroine combination in the six original classic feature films. First glimpsed in October 1912 on the cover of All-Story - a classic "pulp fiction" magazine - Tarzan went on to inspire a further twenty-four novels, more than forty films, hundreds of comic books plus countless radio and TV shows.

Now the best of these silver-screen classics are available to buy on DVD for the first time in the UK. Presented across three discs, the six films in The Tarzan Collection are a must-have for fans of classic cinema.

Will the intervention of Tarzan and his elephants be enough to win Jane's heart?

Tarzan And His Mate (1934)
Considered to be one of the select few Hollywood sequels that outshine the original, this jungle adventure sees Jane's father seeking the legendary elephant burial grounds. Tarzan refuses to help with his quest and the members of the expedition soon find themselves in grave peril - will Tarzan come to their rescue? Tarzan And His Mate includes the famous crocodile battle sequence.

Tarzan Escapes (1936)

Tarzan and his elephants come to the rescue when hostile natives capture the group.
