Bedazzled (1967) in July

Second Sight have announced the UK DVD release of Bedazzled for 25th July 2005 priced at £19.99. For the first time ever on DVD and unavailable on any format for 10 years comes the much requested comedy classic Bedazzled. Written by and starring the great British comedy duo Peter Cook and Dudley Moore, Stanley Donen directs this parody of the Faust legend, in which timid short order cook, Stanley Moon (Moore), desperate to win the girl of his dreams, sells his soul to the devil aka George Spiggot (Cook) for seven wishes. With the magic words ‘Julie Andrews’ he becomes everything from a rock star to an intellectual to try and impress her. But the ‘horned one’ has a wicked sense of fun (he tears the last page out of whodunit novels) so things never quite go according to plan.
