ADV Films in April

ADV Films have sent through details on their UK Region 2 line-up for April 2005. They have six new titles on the cards including the premiere volume of a new adaptation of fan-favourite Fist of the North Star. Arriving on 18th April 2005 all titles will retail at £19.99 each...

New Fist of the North Star Volume 1: The Cursed City - A twist to the classic favourite that begins in the aftermath of the great apocalypse, across a barren Earth, where chaos is the rule, and order the exception with bandits and enterprising overlords terrorizing the survivors of the holocaust. Will a hero rise from the ashes and cut a swath of justice across the Earth’s ruined landscape?

This uncut DVD-only release features a 55-minute feature in both English 5.1 and Japanese 5.1 language versions, with English subtitles. Extras include: behind the scenes commentary, interview with Relson Gracie Jiu Jitsu Sensei Phil Cardella, character bios, Japanese press conference and ADV previews.

Neon Genesis Evangelion – Platinum: 02 - The enormously influential Evangelion television series has been officially revised and digitally remastered for this series of releases, with this second volume featuring five episodes in both English and Japanese 5.1 language versions with English subtitles. Extras include: clean opening and closing animation; full-length animatics for Episode 9; commentary with Tiffany Grant and Allison Shipp; and ADV previews. The first pressing will include limited edition collector’s slipcover packaging and profile booklets filled with screen shots, Japanese commentaries and character profiles.

Last Exile Volume 3: Discovered Attack - The retro sci-fi adventures continue with the third volume which includes four complete episodes in both English and Japanese 2.0 language versions, with English subtitles. Extras include: clean closing animation, original Japanese closing, commercial collection, art gallery, character profiles, and ADV previews.
