20 R2 Fox Studio Classics in April

From the vision of one man at the dawn of the motion picture era, to the movie colossus of modern times – Twentieth Century Fox proudly celebrates its 70th Anniversary this year. 1935 was the momentous year that Fox studios merged with Darryl F. Zanuck’s 20th Century Studios to became Hollywood’s premier producer working with the greatest acting legends and screen sirens of all time such as John Wayne, Tony Curtis, Bette Davis and Marilyn Monroe. Even in its 70th year the studio continues to break new ground in modern movie making and sets new standards for the motion picture medium with every film it produces.

To celebrate the 70th Anniversary, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment is releasing its Studio Classics on DVD from April 18th 2005 (RRP £12.99 each). Studio Classics is a highly collectible range of 70 classic films made between 1930 and 1970, bringing together classic stars, memorable moments and strong storylines from all genres and eras.

The first 20 films from the range will be released in April and among the titles on release there is something for everyone. The collection is designed to appeal to both sexes of all ages and fans of drama, comedy, thrillers, science fiction, westerns, romance, war, action and musicals are all catered for:
