Fox announces new titles

At the VSDA convention, Fox announced the following Region 1 titles: Anna And the King - commentary, featurette, deleted scenes, behind the scenes footage, music video. Released 31st October The Edward Burns Collection - consisting of The Brothers McMullen, She's The One, No Looking Back, all of which will have commentaries and other extras. Released 3rd October. X-Files Box Set#2 - with more extras than the first set, apparently. Released, probably on 16th November. Other TV sets due in 2001 include the eagerly awaited Simpsons First Season box set and the first collection of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, which will no doubt delight The Fly amongst others ! Next year, seventies cinema fans such as myself can look forward to the two French Connection films and Bob Fosse's truly extraordinary musical about showbiz, sex and heart surgery, All That Jazz. The imminent Rocky Horror Picture Show disc will include both US and UK edits of the film, using seamless branching. There will also be audience participation footage, so get those fishnets out and do the Time Warp again... Fox seem to be improving after a slow start, and once they get round to releasing some of those classics still locked in their vaults, they could well become a force to be reckoned with. Speaking of "Force", I think we all know which titles many fans would be most happy to hear announced by Fox between now and the end of the year...
